The Importance of Hindsight

Posted on 2 minute read

My ancestry’s pride has been one of circumstance, but mostly one of neglect. It takes a loyal patron of truth to embrace this heritage, as I came to realize, and had it not been for those who were able to rise before me, and I wouldn’t be here in the now of my presence. It’s the knowing from whence you came that forces your recall and obligates you to remember who you are while raising that level of pride I first mentioned.

hindsight bias
Reflection is the point of history.

Since that historic election of President Obama, this country, nor the world as its whole, could never imagine the significance of his appointment. Our faith was redeemed through his election, and the impossible became everyone’s real possibility.  When a man toils, that man grows by default. When a man sacrifices, he has already sown his destiny by the seeds he has planted. When a man weeps, he cleanses his soul and fortifies his vision to seek the perceived impossibilities of life. We become etched within the spiritual fabric of an otherwise marred existence through living and breathing. As matters look bleak and hopeless, we must stand together as one, not divided, not disillusioned, but watchful. Please keep your eyes open to witness the miracle of faith adorned and the strength of the historic values held within our black history. We are Kings and Queens. We are rulers who have lead, fought, and died for what was right; blacks were from their land, stripped of our culture and our birthright. We need not fold, but we prosper, learn, rebuild, and grow in its stead. Know for sure, we will rise, and the truth will prevail because it always does—# Neverstopbelieving.
