The nature of disappointment is a likely occurrence that should be expected. However, this expectation is not your indictment of failure but the imposed act by someone else you have no control over.
As you venture out from one day to the next, the assortment of events is many. As you layout, these engagements of the heart, the outcomes are often disappointing and not duly reflective of what you should have done. The control of decision-making falls in the lap of those who represent authority. Those who exercise that authority can carry biases on a variety of levels. Trying to process these biases is fruitless, and your only comeback is preparation and commitment to pursue.
Disappointments are laced with emotions that get the best of you, and as a result, these emotions must be handled head-on. Disappointment occurs without warning; therefore, no one is prepared when this happens. The only preparation is to train your mind to accept disappointment rather than obsessing over it. The absolute truth is to allow the inevitable by inserting tomorrow’s completion idea. To further my point, don’t blame people for disappointing you; blame yourself for expecting too much from them in the first place.
