As three of these people are no longer with us, each dared to step forward and interrupt the status quo. Frowning on that notion, the powers held within our government and the other obtuse folk sought measures to silence these people, and they succeeded. Like these leaders, all acted in the interest of civil rights and fair play for all, were, in part, silenced and limited in their quest to serve and promote black awareness and righteous indignation. During their reign of power and influence, adversaries were busy trying to unseat and, yes, even kill these black leaders to silence their efforts to be heard and believed. As they all amassed a considerable following, they could also change the way people thought and behaved, but unfortunately, we forgot the lessons and fell victim yet again. Having one leader take on the establishment is impossible; what’s needed is to form this unbeatable coalition and take back what’s rightfully ours. We can start with complete freedom and safety.
Hope and an elevated belief system were given to these leaders, and they dared. This feeling of accomplishment settled in the hearts of many people who were desperately looking for a leader, and they followed. As we know, these leaders personally supported their work, which birthed an attitude of solidarity and liberation. This readiness was felt across the country, as these influential people’s lives were snuffed out and compressed.
Throughout history, people who suffered extreme bias and hatred again found a reason for living and walked behind and alongside these significant leaders. What will it take to recapture these beliefs? Relying on one person to deliver these affected people from evil isn’t necessary if we can unify, plan, and carry out an agenda built for all ages and cultures. Are YOU a change agent?
