The damaged ego, the loss of self-esteem, and the immense scope of not feeling worthy are all parts of a moving vehicle that rips the lives of women apart. The many lives are broken, and sadly many of those lives belong to women, require a pride process that never seems to occur. The emotional structuring held within our women is so fragile that it quickly becomes the undoing of a once vibrant spirit. With the sensitivity and the domestic oversight to raise a family, the work falls in the laps of women who fight hard to maintain the many roles they are forced to continue. Men, but not all, render themselves the victors in relationships based on what is considered to be the dominant male role. These men saw as children at their fathers’ hand and are now being mimicked. As I feel that I am a man, I try to think like a woman when it comes to emotions and what I would expect from another woman. When a man can exercise genuine empathy in his relationship with women, he can now see himself on the wrong side of the fence. That now reality forces him to reconstruct that fence where the entry also becomes the escape. In short, everything is seen differently when the feelings of men are threatened and overlooked.

Women are exceptional human beings because they can take on the challenges of life in a way that escapes many men. After all, men, by far, are not emotionally equipped. Men are often the by-products of a systematic takeover measured by physical strength and the willful intent to undermine women for control and manipulation. The sexes’ engagement has become the competitive edge that drives a wedge between men and women, causing that competitiveness that becomes skewed and marginalized at women’s expense. Men of color find themselves overlooked in the workplace that starts this competitive exchange even when the relationship is one of the only work-related matters. It’s this kind of dialogue that begins to tear down men’s confidence so much so that they bring that regressive attitude into their own homes. By now, the male subject has developed a bitterness and even resentment that transcends the very idea of what balance means; mind, body, spirit. These three ideologies must be in sync to thrive.
Having the inability to see themselves for who they are, men assume this male bravado to control someone, somewhere. My personal and professional experience is that my only competition is held within my head as I now become my own worst enemy. As this occurs, I soon doubt myself and look to the closest person to create havoc and chaos within my private space. Hence, failed relationships failed marriages. Do not allow your life to become tainted and torn. Replace that with your commitment to rising and keep rising.
Domestic unrest is as prevailing as racial indifference. The fear, the bias, the separatism, and the entitlement all become significant factors that introduce emotional disorder and take over lives in peril. Control over the world, and that same control over people, will never be the bridge that connects us. What will happen in its stead would be the control you have over yourself. If it’s broken, FIX IT, as only YOU can.
