MENTAL SCIENCE
PART II
As stated in the first article on mental science, it is the subconscious mind’s science and secret beliefs. What you should know is that the subconscious mind is always acting on these secret beliefs. Take a moment to let this sink in. Why, because hidden deep in the center of your subconscious mind is the riddle to you achieving more success in your life. This means that the level of success you desire to achieve in life is the direct result of your subconscious mind’s hidden beliefs. They are beliefs that will either propel your success or sabotage your success.

Let’s take a closer look at the subconscious. You have one mind that has two different functions, the conscious and the subconscious. The conscious is what you present in your outer world that is logical and allows you to make decisions. The subconscious is your inner world and has no filters. It takes everything in and doesn’t care if it is right or wrong. The conscious is 10 percent of your reality, and the subconscious is 90 percent of your reality. Your whole reality is, therefore, basically lived from your subconscious. This makes your subconscious extremely powerful. Your conscious is sad and unaware of the enormous power associated with your subconscious. If your subconscious has a false perception of your capabilities, it will not permit success or growth in your life. Your subconscious can have you doing the same things over and over again, expecting different results. You have heard this called crazy. It is not crazy. It is your lack of knowledge. It does not understand how your subconscious works. Yes, your subconscious can leave you unaware of your capabilities. It can stop you from realizing that the lack of success is just a state of mind.
Mental science’s philosophy is that we can no longer be ignorant of our subconscious mind’s working if our goal is a more successful life. I have created a five-step process that teaches how to take control and reeducate your subconscious mind. The first step we call clarity, the second step provides you with techniques that get you ready for step three, step three is organizing your mind, step four is becoming single-minded, and step five is becoming who you are. This article will focus on step three because that is the real work.
STEP
III
Organizing your mind! The focus of this step is to align your conscious and subconscious. When you set a goal, you fail to understand that your conscious and subconscious must agree to achieve your goal. For example, your conscious said, “I want a new car,” and your subconscious said, “I can afford a new car.” If your conscious is not in agreement with your subconscious, you will struggle to achieve your goal no matter how hard you work. For example, your conscious said, “I want a new car,” but then your subconscious said, “can I handle the monthly payments.” This means you are trying to make something happen from a twofold mindset. You have negative and positive thoughts occupying your subconscious at the same time. This is a referral to separation consciousness. The problem here is that your subconscious cannot distinguish what you desire from what you don’t want. When you set a goal and have negative and positive thoughts about it, you are unknowingly creating confusion within your subconscious and creating two realities. The subconscious will give you positive and negative results because it does not know what you desire. You hear all the time people say, “I take one step forward and fall two steps back. This is just a disconnect between your conscious and subconscious. This misalignment of your conscious and subconscious may cause some success, but you also experience disappointment, lack of confidence, and failure as well. The subconscious assumes you want the negative and the positive and makes both happen. This misalignment of your conscious and subconscious makes success difficult. The goal, therefore, in this step, is to bring your conscious and subconscious in alignment with each other.
Unfortunately, you have been programmed from accumulating your past experiences to think negatively and positively in the same space. Your subconscious has, therefore, become the holding place of the good and the bad. It has become a habit and maybe an addiction. This habit has made you oblivious to how a twofold mindset has affected your everyday life. It restrains and limits you. The subconscious is so powerful that it will strategize how to sabotage your efforts to align your conscious with your subconscious. This is why the work begins in step three. Step three helps you to understand that a twofold mindset limits your capabilities. For some, it may make it impossible for them to achieve their goals.
