One of the most shameful acts of jealousy and envy by any president was Donald Trump’s refusal to hang Obama’s portrait in the White House. This congratulatory celebration and acknowledgment of men who preceded Obama found their portraits hung as a display of pride and committed public service. Due to Trump’s selfish motives, he saw fit to dishonor Obama in an ongoing attack to slander his presidency and legacy. The lesson here is the level of hatred and bias perpetrated by Trump that will ultimately destroy one of the most despicable presidents of our time. For now, allow me to digress because all who read this article know about Donald J. Trump and what he’s capable of doing.
As I move forward, the emancipation of blacks cannot be trampled upon by discrediting our accomplishments. We have come too far to allow this slow elimination of people who have been scorned far too long but, the planned installation of fear cannot be the emotion we embrace but rather the fuel that motivates us to persevere. There is no doubt that this fight brewing on American soil will call upon human sacrifices on both sides of the track. This division we are experiencing more blatantly than ever before must be met with a unified effort to come together as one. The direction of Trump is no secret, and he doesn’t try to hide it. He is all that is consciously ambitious to live off the backs of those who have less while marginalizing anything that feeds confidence and independence for people of color.
