Police Unhinged – New Policy – No Bias

Dominance, especially racial dominance, forging against blacks, and other people of color, can happen no more! As the murders against blacks and other people of color continue to climb, these endless murders by too many police and other whites travel a path of being their judge and jury. They get off with no punishment and no jail time for their actions. This kind of persecution has repeated itself for centuries with little or no change where whites are permitted to shoot and kill blacks. The blatant disregard of these police officers to abide by these laws has not existed since the Civil War.

Living as a black man and a retired police officer, I am fully aware of the laws of engagement, the unlawful use of force paradigm, and the proper use of force to engage when dealing with any suspect. These laws are clear and become more apparent if the officer in question happens to be black, committing the same offenses. For the same crimes, black police officers are bought and sold and make way for any department to rid themselves of someone who they never wanted in the first place. Black injustice is a sensitive topic because re-writing the laws for murder and the surrounding circumstances is not enough to protect blacks and people of color. The rules are clear with accompanying conditions, but the bias that occurs far too often favoring whites over blacks begins at the top.

Witnessing the Capitol’s insurrection in Washington, D.C., has revealed a severe breach of authority that allowed such easy access to the Capital. No one seems to be safe when anarchists from across the country bring disgrace and dishonor. Human decency and respect for the law seemingly do not apply. There is no doubt that policy must change and at all levels. Those who assume the roles of command and those who set and write policy must be held accountable. But, if you compare the policy with bias, the favor seen does not benefit those less fortunate. The aftermath of this horrifying event, labeled as an insurrection, ended well after two weeks when Joseph Biden Jr. and Kamala Harris were sworn in as our new President and Vice-Present. As the country can now recover from an embarrassing four years with the Trump administration, growth and achievement are seen better. What appears as dominance has now acquired some balance of reward where a people’s resilience wins.
