The Inner-Child- Your Inner-Child (Part I)

Posted on 2 minute read

Your inner-child, a theme, my thoughts, an introduction to a book that I’m writing entitled: “You Don’t Know.’ The inner child, Your Inner Child, is worth examining. Are you familiar with them? If not, the two of you need to visit and get to know one another. You see, that inner child of yours is dying to be set free, but taking on the responsibility of molding the adult you live with every day is the challenge. Any regrets? Do you have any bad habits you have formed? The child in you is crying. Those cries, the outreach to seek help, have fallen on deaf ears and have met a blind eye. And due to that avoidance, you now see what you want to see because your truth hurts too badly. As a result, you create falsehoods to mask the pain that minimizes the guilt while you try to fool the prankster held within you.

Many of us who have reached adulthood for decades still live with those untold truths. We suffer the shame and perhaps the guilt of neglecting to complete us. This incompletion is much like the building foundation that has been eroding for years. The sad part of this tale is that we don’t know how to treat our inner child or where to begin our healing.

Do you know your inner child? Does your inner child speak to you? If so, what is that voice saying, and when heard, will you be paying attention? No one escapes the interwoven personalities of a child and an adult because what remains is an adult with child-like behaviors coupled with adult pain.

Capsulizing an image in the human mind is the one that resonates the most. Because the eye acts like a camera, all photos become permanent impressions in the human brain. It will be those images that remain based on your level of interest. Does that child speak to you? If so, what is that voice saying, and when heard, will you be paying attention? No one escapes the interwoven personalities of a child who is now an adult, and what remains always is that adults with child-like behaviors coupled with adult pain.
