I have spent my life motivating others on many levels. From my high school days to the Vietnam War, I made myself available to others for that leg up, for the words of encouragement I tried to deliver. So, before I could motivate, I needed to be encouraged to carry out the job placed on myself. The support provided to so many was learned early in life, and I paid attention to who I admired around me. It’s the trust and loyalty that matter, giving the recipient a sense of assurance that their minds are open enough to receive the information. Therefore, there is no resting place for motivation because it’s imperative to be motivated.
You see, there have been many lessons I have learned during my lifetime that don’t necessarily set me apart from anyone else, but they do separate me from others because I don’t repeat those wrong lessons. Implementing this endeavor is not easy because most people prefer to be followers rather than leaders. They also try to be interrupters and interlopers. If this proves to be accurate, motivating these individuals is nearly impossible.
I have often labored to be motivated by possessing a character that demonstrates strength and conviction. Empowering yourself through your due diligence sets you up for bigger and better things. The heightened interests serve as a launching pad to seek out differences and separate you from the pack. Therefore, that resting place lies within the annals of your mind.
