A COMPLAINER WOULD RATHER BE BOASTFUL THAN FELT!
Too often, what we become is a result of our tormenters!
The tilted scales of justice are more formidable than ever. There exists today, as always, that the idea of justice applies to a few and not for all. Just so we’re clear, the laws are written by whites, legislated by whites, and enforced by white counterparts. This liberation is no secret because we all know the Jim Crow era’s struggles.
Will justice prevail? An accurate and appropriate answer to our race problem would be a therapeutic movement because we were forced to forfeit during slavery. A prosperous community that should remember its history creates viable resources focused on growing its economy to bring money into a neighborhood that remains. Getting cash into areas would answer the present alignment of political power and wealth to restore that community’s identity and sound economics. These simple community highlights would be the cornerstones to a vibrant, self-reliant community built on pride, sound economics, and consistency. A city that kills one another steals from another, pillages off each other, is a community that fails, decays, and dies.

From these age-old stories of hatred and indifference was born a struggle that blacks still must endure. From the entertainment of lynchings to the bullet in the head to the overkill of 16 unprovoked shots by a police officer, blacks must still try to justify why this behavior should be unacceptable and therein punished. So, this post will not take you down a historical path of bias in its highest form, but it will raise questions about what we should do as people to end this kind of treatment once and for all.
With the advent of voting privilege, many of us still won’t exercise that right to vote often. Our black ancestors, who fought and died for that privilege, had no support other than their own beliefs. Voting is the ‘start all’ to ‘end all’ that gives black people a chance to overcome racial strife. There should be no private conversations that move to open discussion regarding eliminating that right to vote. Instead, there must be an across-the-board movement that limits the time spent in Congress and the Senate. No elected official should hold an office for 30+ years, and we then expect that official to step down. By now, his home to political life is now comfortable, and he gets whatever he deems necessary. To disenfranchise, interrupt, and create difficulty has been the pursuit of these elected officials far too long as they become millionaires twice over.
As we vote and win, the movement should now govern and manage those we elected to act out our bidding as a collective ‘people structure.’ These elected officials should be held accountable to carry out the demands of those who elected them by ensuring they are held liable. Many of our elected officials are never seen until it’s time for reelection, where that waiting time spent is being utilized to solidify their political base and formulate an array of financial supporters that pay for favors. These captive spectacles of greed, power, narcissism, and jealousy are all the ingredients that many of these elected officials fight to the end to keep. They want and keep wanting more for themselves at the stake of losing sight of an America we were raised to support and protect. Voting can no longer be based on race but based on uncompromised beliefs. These same beliefs must be that anchor that holds the ship at sea. It must become that rope at the dock that prevents drifting and becomes lost in a storm of unprecedented entitlement.
When anyone reaches a point of entitlement, that comfort level is now and always expected. It’s the same expectation that creates hate and greed. The expectation undermines a true patriot’s efforts because that is not the norm. The norm of ‘old’ is no longer seen, and in its place comes deceit, sexual confusion, and the denouncing of [God.] These oversights and much more are the tenets of Sodom and Gomorrah. Reliving our past and being set free to taint those who choose the path of righteousness have all become obsolete, and the ‘body’ of people who benefit falls under the umbrella of our governments and their leaders who do not care.
That’s why I say the scale of justice is a fraud. It’s a symbol carrying no universal meaning that benefits all. The truth level is a fake that is utilized only to promote an agenda to prosecute the less fortunate and deemed inferior. The delegation of imposed inferiority by whites is the same as the inferiority they created. To keep us uneducated, unemployed, or minimally employed has kept us dampened by rejection. Therefore, it should be no secret about the government’s plan to keep us ignorant, needy, and hating ourselves, but we already know these things to be true and accurate. The question of not when these matters should change but must be the answer to exerting the NOW of that change today. People of color MUST unite and become one voice of action. We must rid ourselves of our own biases to advise and administer. The old belief of many prominent blacks is that I got mine, and I won’t help you. We separate ourselves in many instances, which I have experienced more than I care to remember. A government by the people and for the people is only a laughing matter. With each political process, the same tune and the same dance continues. Vote for the justice that you seek. Make your demands in those voting booths. Learn who these candidates are and understand what they stand for, which doesn’t happen during an elective process. History tells all. History repeats and accounts should be that learning tool that will exonerate this ‘business as usual’ phenomenon.
