After hearing the news of Chadwick Boseman’s passing, I am still reminded of how many black lives are lost every day. This young, promising man and actor quietly and unapologetically battled a debilitating illness while still making movies. The strength he exemplified was incredible, reflecting his character and integrity. Because of the public outcry, Mr. Chadwick will live on in infamy for us to remember.
To mirror his example for the young and the old is a testament to the courage we all have if we keep trying. It’s the trying that sets us apart, and through striving, the pride that it brings is humbling.
