Bias Is Only An Excuse

Posted on 1 minute read

As a young teenager, my help made a difference in my life, but today’s youth aren’t afforded that same privilege. If they are, the opportunity is unappreciated. So, with a stirring and productive career, giving back was the next mission that provided me with a high healing level. With so many role models during my growing stages, they paved my way. They made it possible for me to know who I was and what it would take for me to make it in this world of ours.

My domestic and international opportunities are overwhelming as I lecture around the country. The greetings that I receive have left a lasting impression. The caring deeds, the kind words, and the immeasurable attention to serving are indeed humbling. However, to receive this definitive treatment in another country other than my own clarifies even more how widespread racial indifference is and how biased it has become. Becoming that prophet in my private land is virtually impossible, but I must continue to RISE and find my audience where the idea of bias is merely an excuse that won’t stop me.
