Living in a world of constant deliverance from yourself, the world, and others requires you to learn from your bad choices and take from that experience how not to repeat an experience that doesn’t serve you. Our engagement with life is forever. That reality includes lessons of what to do and what not to do because life is a classroom that requires your commitment to listen, learn, and act. To live purposefully, everyone needs a plan that takes you from point ‘A’ to point ‘B.’ Without a defined path to success, one can never navigate it until life means something you created. So, how can your life mean something when the consistent probe to improve your life falls by the wayside? Answer! It won’t happen! Many people lie to themselves by claiming the need to succeed over what they want. People want what they see others possessing and never stop thinking about what it took to reach a point of achievement. Making sacrifices to place a need over a want requires the discipline to act responsibly and stay committed to the task.
The misnomer to living with a purpose is believing that your goal will happen. Until you understand that anything of worth happens for a reason, not merely a season, the life journey you elect to take will not occur. Waiting on success will be a long wait that never reaches its rightful place. The energy you push for yourself maximizes your intent to receive all you have worked for in the presence of your existence.
The illustration on the left is a published copy of my book outlining the differences between the conscious and subconscious mind. The information that you glean from this book will lend itself to explaining how these two separate functions control your thinking mechanisms. You will discover the idea of having one mind but experiencing two different modes of operation. Living with purpose depends significantly upon optimizing your brain’s power to remain conscious to think positively. To engage often your negative thinking forces the recall of learned habits that are detrimental to your living purpose. The bad habit we all develop over time can quickly become the habits that beat us.

Living with purpose has been really big for me this month. I started nursing school last week and now more than ever I feel like there’s a reason why I’m doing it. I believe when I went to college before I was confused and didn’t know what I wanted. Spiritually and financially I know exactly what I want. The feeling is great it no longer feels like I’m in a tunnel with no end in sight. Now its more like I have tunnel vision and my vision of myself in 5 years becomes clearer every day. It’s all very exciting and has given me a boost academically I’ve never had before. Staying conscious of my goals isn’t too hard now.
When you’re living your purpose all else must cease to exist and thrive within your subconscious. The only way to change, alter or modify your subconscious mind is to replace those old dated beliefs and habit with other things that define you better. What you write in these articles is a reflection of how you feel, and if those feelings are skewed, your behavior becomes that reflection. There is nothing more important than seeing your progress over perfection.
