Relationships At It’s Core

Posted on 2 minute read

At the core of all relationships is honesty and subjectivity. While we should all understand and practice what honesty and objectivity mean in relationships, maintaining them seems the most challenging. Why? Every human being struggles to ensure that honesty is the key to enduring a lasting partnership. Once you recognize the benefits of an honest relationship, navigating difficult times becomes more manageable when you’re at the helm of that pursuit. To think of yourself as perfect with no character flaws, you’re doing yourself an injustice by ignoring that possibility, because relationships are a fundamental part of human life. They shape our experiences, influence our emotions, and contribute to our well-being. Relationships shape how we connect with others and navigate the world, whether in romantic, platonic, familial, or professional contexts.

Relationships Carry Many Faces

A relationship is a bond or connection between two or more individuals. It is built on communication, trust, respect, and mutual understanding. If you lack these categories, it is crucial to examine yourself and address what you know to be wrong or missing. Being the subject of your scrutiny means critically examining yourself, your thoughts, actions, motivations, and beliefs within an objective or analytical mindset. It involves self-reflection, self-awareness, and sometimes self-criticism, where you assess your strengths, weaknesses, biases, and areas of growth. This self-assessment can be helpful for personal development, as it encourages accountability and improvement. However, if taken to an extreme, it may lead to excessive self-doubt or overthinking. Find a balance and be honest with yourself without being overly harsh.

By engaging in these methods to secure a meaningful relationship, your partner must understand that they are duty-bound to establish the same awareness. These methods are better measured by the actual use being sought. The purpose of intent will never be appreciated until the meeting of minds takes its proper place.

The hardest truth I had to accept was realizing people don’t value me the way I value them. I’m one of the most genuine people you’ll meet. I’ll give my time, my energy, my last dime without thinking twice. But I learned the hard way that when you give like that, people start thinking it’s owed to them. They forget how rare it is. They forget how much it cost me to keep showing up. so now, I don’t say a word, I don’t give warning, I just fall back. Because once you show me you can’t value me the way I value you, they’ll never get the version of me again. Even sad to say family id not exempt. If we can’t be corrected without being offended how can we ever grow in life. Nobody talks enough about how important it is to have mature friends or healthy relationships ones who keep you out of drama instead of bringing you into it. Friends who know when to pull you to the side and tell you to chill. Friends who the think before they speak, and don’t drag you into situations that could mess up everything you’ve worked for. Friends who see the bigger picture, because they;ve got something to lose too. That’s the kind of circle that keep you grounded, focused, and protected. I seek healthy relationships of people who care about my future as much as I do, and there own. But the way this world set-up do these people still really exsist?
