Silence Can Be Loud

The wind has a silent whisper like the sea has its mysterious undercurrent, but it’s forever moving at its own pace. Silent nonetheless, the wind and the sea are two extraordinary events of nature compared to the silence of a child who can’t grasp the world’s ways. Silence can be resounding.

In our silence, providing if one can master it, we can learn ourselves and others. When we’re silent, we tap into what’s relevant, avoiding the nonsense that serves no purpose. When we’re always talking, listening doesn’t happen because we’re too busy thinking about a response and only providing an unsubstantiated opinion. The silence that can be associated with listening is a skill that is often overlooked. To be quiet and listen begs the difference of control over instability. Once you mature, you realize that silence is more powerful than proving a point.
