I posted this article five years ago, and it’s interesting to examine what was written before, and still exists today. As I read this article, not only do these matters exist, but they have gotten worse. So, what is one to do to avoid increased anxiety and depression? It requires a staunch evaluation of where you are in your mind. Examine your thoughts as often as you can to determine your position in life better.
As the days grow shorter for #45, his agenda has nothing to do with addressing the pandemic, hunger, and corruption, all of which stem from his inability and refusal to exercise the idea of empathy or being presidential. Living under this government has nothing to reflect upon that brings a smile, hope, or relief. It is clear that the United States sold out America long before now, and Trump spread the icing on the cake from the beginning. Knowing all this, #45 is the worst president in government history. Scandal after scandal, nothing about this guy is legitimate as he slithers his way into any opportunity that advances his personal agenda. America, you don’t matter!
Those 70 million-plus voters who supported Trump find themselves hating so profoundly that they fail to see the world around them, and the world’s condition has made no changes that are beneficial in the long or short term. To have witnessed every day for nearly 4 years how this president defied the Constitution and ignored the rule of law is appalling. What can be said about this behavior is not new, but the action was allowed to continue, and that’s why I wrote this article. Those Senate members and their leader have allowed this egregious attack on America’s integrity. These shameful supporters are more guilty than Trump because they let the behavior that has hurt, and yes, killed many Americans. Why? Because Americans do not matter!
I feel like a prisoner in my country. I feel like an orphan who has no home or place to lay my head safely. The pride I once felt is no longer, and pain, worry, and suffering are in its place. Government leaders elected to preserve and improve the living conditions for all people have lost that label long before now. It should be scary for people to be so close to a communist rule where the government controls everything you do. Knowing this, people support this man and his self-serving agenda because they are ignorant of the facts being shown to them each day. American people, you don’t matter! All you have is yourselves, who are left to fight your battles, your way, and hope for the best result. To be a part of a country divided so equally and formed alliances to undermine democracy and its path to justice sickens me to the core of my soul. My deepening regret at living and still feeling left out and overlooked is shocking. To know in this 21st Century that the fight is still on for the rights we have all been entitled to embrace and benefit, but we face the threat of enslavement nonetheless. To live as long as I have, I never dreamed that the American people would be brainwashed to the agendas of a few men who control everything that affects all people; as I say again, America, you don’t matter!
As we move forward with a new president who knows and understands how the government works, will it be enough? By him being one of the ‘good ole boys,’ will that be enough to sway the minds of other men who call the shots? Will Biden and his selected administration be seen as a continuation of the Obama administration to promote his policies? Soon, we will see if Americans matter!
