The country, the world, and this nation have lost sight of what’s essential. These geographic labels suffer from the decline of trust, loyalty, and integrity. There are only a few worthy of mention, but there are more because people like you are paying attention. It saddens me to witness such drastic changes in a country with promise, but beating this promise can only be accomplished with capable and wanting leadership. Seeing a country under siege by its government is a travesty emboldened by corruption, hatred, deceit, and greed. As this country has fallen from grace, it will soon perish from the smoldering flames of disgrace. Like it or not, when we subscribe to the radical desires of the one percent, who have informed us of their intent, it becomes this shroud of shame worn by its citizens. How can reasonable, intelligent people allow these acts of defiance to continue without realizing what’s being done to save this country? The disgrace’s acted upon daily perpetuate an image, so distasteful one cannot accept the presented menu.
Our pride, my pride, has long been shaken. I can no longer breathe after the choking effects of so much violence permeate the moral fiber of a country in peril whose goals seem to be counter-productive to what is right and adorned for what is wrong. In my opinion, a severe evaluation of the common good should be forthcoming before time runs out for everyone. Is the idea of money and getting more money the focus of equitable equality? Seemingly!
I tremble at the thought of world destruction, and I am shattered at the task awaiting our children and grand-children to be a part of a world that could be great again in the minds of all who have an ounce of pride left in them to see that this doesn’t happen on anyone’s watch. As I understand the logic behind our leaders’ insensitive behaviors, this behavior was always in attendance and birthed by government leadership’s endorsement. Turning a blind eye to injustice is not a viable sound bite to survival, nor is the muted avoidance of ignoring the devastation that this country is headed towards. So, what is essential? Does life matter? Do we enjoy our freedom? Is the embrace of a dictatorship worthy of consideration? Do you want a communistic rule? Will the idea of barely making it become your pledge? Will hatred continue to reign? So far, this is the message being transmitted, and it sickens me!
