Negative Bias

Posted on 3 minute read

“Negative Bias, a psychological reference, highlights the thinking process, but on a one-sided scale. Negative Bias is a form of prejudicial significance that carries a negative view on all issues, creating confusion, separation, conspiracy, and disruption to make sense of our environment or a particular demographic. Specifically, we tend to attend to, learn from, and use negative information more often than positive information. We weigh negative exchanges more heavily than positive ones when focusing on negative news events and social media. Much like the political events in the 2024 presidential election, one of the candidates leans toward this way of thinking and demonizes the process for freedom of choice and justice. Under this type of Bias, people are inclined to internalize negative experiences more deeply, which causes the masses to worry and dwell on small, insignificant matters for personal gain and reward. In this instance, people may obsess over a comment made and later regret it or focus on the fact that someone breached their personal space. No matter how insignificant, the negative responses ‘ring true’ and cloud our sense of reason, consequently affecting our behavior.”

What’s old must, at times, become new. Dare to be different.

When faced with a decision, negative Bias causes us to focus too much on negative traits. This 2024 presidential election identifies all of these ill-sighted ideals by brainwashing millions of people. If this psychological reality is allowed to flourish, those who elect to engage in its use can sway the thinking of otherwise intelligent and educated people. This usage can be dangerous and sinister in the hands of the wrong people. This tactic now becomes an integral part of your subconscious that you consistently rely upon for results. You become your realist because the subconscious knows nothing about right or wrong. When this happens, the subconscious mind can hold on to negativity until you change something for yourself. The American people have overwhelmingly adopted this negative Bias, proven even more by electing an upcoming dictator in Donald Trump, who has skillfully crafted a democracy to his liking.
